Wow….only one more week left of school!!! I can’t even believe how busy I have been with all of my activities and school!

Last week I pretty much lived in the library trying to get all of those final projects and papers done and typed to turn in! Even though people say last week is supposed to be “dead week”, it’s not at all for me! I prefer the term Study week because I think that’s what most of us here at ISU were doing anyways!

Today we had Parent’s Day for Alpha Chi Omega. My mom and sister came down and we had lots of fun. My dad couldn’t make it because he is in Talladega for a Nascar race…haha must be nice right!! So since my family was coming up for a visit I thought I would load them up with some boxes to take home…lucky them right! I always have a love/hate attitude with this last week of school. On one hand I’m so glad to have a break from school and be home with my Brown county friends and my family…but on the other hand I HATE packing up and moving out and of course leaving all of my ISU friends! On top of that add taking all my finals and still putting in a few hours of work this week. I have a feeling that I am going to be a little tired and stressed out by Friday…..

But even though this week isn’t going to be that much fun with all the tests, I’m going to try to make the most of it by spending lots of quality time with all my friends here before I don’t see them for 3 months! But before I know it…it’s going to be that time of year to move back and start all over again!

I hope everyone has a great last week….aces all their finals….and finds time to hang out with everyone before saying goodbye!!!

Wow…all I can say is my life has been SOOO busy!! I feel like everytime I turn around I have a test, a quiz, sorority stuff, work stuff, and so on!!

Alot has gone on since the last time I posted. Spring break has come and gone…I didn’t do anything too exciting, I just worked at my Dad’s machine shop in the office. It was pretty fun, I made some money! Then last weekend was Easter, which is always fun going home and doing all the Easter stuff! I went to church for the sunrise service and had breakfast with everyone there and my family, always a good time! Then on Monday was my birthday!! My parents came down and had dinner with me and my Dad got my mom and I’s nails done…it was fun! And then Tuesday night some of my sorority sisters and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for my birthday, it was so much fun!

Nick came down for my birthday, it was fun. He got me an Anatomy Atlas I really wanted!! Haha I know it sounds weird but being a Nursing major I’m really going to use it! Then we drove home for Easter on Saturday. We went a different way to get home which was fun, I like to drive with him in the car.

This week is also Initiation week for my sorority!!! We have some new girls who are going to be initiated this weeked and so all week we have stuff in preperation for that. I like spending time with all of my sisters everynight! Also we have airband practice going on every night! Airband is for spring week and we are paired with a fraternity and we put on a performance for everyone. It is really fun and looking really great so far! We will win…haha!!

School has been pretty busy as well! Like I said I have had so many quizes, tests, and things due these past couple weeks it’s been crazy! The end of school always means an overload of work!

Well that’s about it for now. Now that the busy weeks have slowed down a little bit I can finally have some time to sit down and keep up with this!! Have a great weekend!!

Ok so it’s been a long time since I last posted…sooo sorry about that!! I think I have finally figured out my daily schedule, and let me tell you, it’s a busy one!! I’m taking 18 hours here, and then another 4 at Ivy Tech…talk about lot’s of homework! Nothing really exciting is going on, other then I’m going home this weekend! I am excited, I haven’t been home since break. I miss my family and my friends! I am going home for a friend’s baby shower which is going to be a blast.

School is getting really busy, I find myself having like 3 tests/quizes/projects every week!! Add staying active in Alpha Chi to that, plus working, there’s barely enough time to sleep! But I like to stay busy, that means something exciting could happen. This semester I am taking initiative and decided to get a math tutor…finally someone to explain everything!! So far so good with that. Also I decided to spend more time with my sisters, I love them all so much and I am so glad that I have gotten to hang out with everyone so much so far.

And last I can’t forget to mention that today is Valentine’s Day! Even though it’s not my favorite holiday, I am excited to spend it with my valentine…my “little sis”/roomie Allyse!! We are going to have quite a romatic dinner in the Quad cafeteria and then eat some cookie dough and watch a movie!! First I’m going to go support AXO in basketball, which we are totally going to dominate, but then let the Valentines Day festivities begin!!

Ok…so I know it’s been awhile but I have been sooo busy!

First of all my break was so much fun! I love spending the holidays with my family and friends from back home. I spent lots of time with my parents and my sister. We had a lot of fun. Plus I got some really great gifts!! Haha! I could name them all but that would take too long! But lets just say I have a VERY generous family!! During break I didn’t do anything really exciting. Just the usual hanging out with friends and my boyfriend. Nick and I always spend a night in downtown Indy before Christmas. I LOVE Christmas lights so he takes me all around to see some. Also we went to the last Colts regualr season game, so that was pretty exciting. I also subsitute taught in my Mom’s preschool class….those little ones are just precious! Basically I didn’t do a whole lot of anything productive! Although I did go shopping lots so I guess you could count that!!

This semester is going to be a busy one for me! Between AXO, working, and all my classes I’m going to be one busy girl! I would much rather be busy though, then sitting around doing nothing. I am taking fairly hard classes and also going one night to Ivy Tech. I’m glad that I am getting all of these classes done though! That’s pretty much it for now. I know with my busy week I will have lots of interesting posts coming up!!

Have a great week!

Just want to start off by saying that Thanksgiving was awesome! I had some really good food, thanks to Mom, Grandma, and my boyfriend’s Mom! I got to have two Thanksgiving dinners, always good right! My sister and I went day after Thanksgiving shopping with my Dad, talk about some crazy people. We got up at 4:30 and when we got there, there was already tons of people! It was crazy, but we got some good deals! Then on Sunday before I left to come back to Terre Haute we got a Christmas tree. I LOVE Christmas and all the decorations and stuff. We got it decorated and I can’t wait to go back home so I can enjoy the tree every night. I have a tree in my room here, it’s small but I like it!

So this week has been a busy one….I have only been in my room to sleep it feels like! Between class, work, and extra curricular activities my week has been packed. I had a few tests and a few quizes this week which have kept me busy studying. Also I had a group project due for one of my nursing classes, it was a lot of fun. My group did really well and I liked working with everyone in the group, which is always a good thing! Next week is dead week, which means you don’t have any tests in your classes that week, and some classes don’t even meet either. It’s to give  you a little break before finals, which is the following week. However, I have two lab finals next week which are 2 of my harder finals! They aren’t until Thursday so I have a lot of time to study.

This weekend I am going up to Angola, Indiana. I am going to visit my boyfriend for his fraternity’s formal. I’m pretty excited. I get to wear a new dress and everyone will be dressed up, it will be fun. I’m meeting a friend and IUPUI later today and we are driving up together, he boyfriend is in the same fraternity as mine. I’m excited for our little road trip too!

Also I wanted to tell everyone thanks for participating in the live chat this week! I enjoyed talking to everyone and I hope that you guys enjoyed it too! We had a lot of fun doing it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey guys!!

This is going to be a short one, since I am about to leave for home for break! I can’t wait to get home to see all my friends and not to mention eating all that great food for Thanksgiving! Also I can’t wait to get all my Christmas decorations and bring them back to school! On Friday my boyfriend Nick is having a bonfire at his house and I’m excited since all of our friends from high school will be there! Once I get back I promise to tell you all about break, but I can tell you that I am for sure ready to get on the road back to home! So until next time…..

Don’t forget that on the 27th, it’s a Tuesday, we will be having a live chat with all of the bloggers! It starts at 7pm, and lasts until 10pm, hope to get to chat with you guys there!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

All I have to say is I can’t wait until next week when it’s Thanksgiving Break! I have been so busy and I have had so much homework and tests to study for its unbelievable! Nursing is a real time consuming major, but it’s so fun! I have learned so much and I love that!

Next week I am going to schedule my classes for Spring semester.  I am excited for that. That means I’m only one semester away from finishing up the year, haha. I’m glad that I won’t have to take 18 hours…that’s so much work! My advisor is really awesome, she’s so helpful and gives really great insight about what classes I should take. I really suggest talking with  your advisor before picking classes, I know I will go see my advisor before every semester so I know I am taking all of the right classes! That would not be fun to find out I can’t graduate because I didn’t take P.E 101 or something!! Haha.

This week our new girls in Alpha Chi got to find out who their big sis’s are! I took a little, and she’s amazing! I love you Tory!! Now I have two little sis’s and the best sorority family ever! I’m so excited for all our new girls because they get initiated this weekend! It’s going to be so fun! Also we are having elections soon for new offices. I put down that I wanted to run for a few so after elections I will tell you how that goes! I hope good!

But like I said at the beginning….I am so excited for Thanksgiving break! I haven’t been home in awhile and I can’t wait to see my mom, dad, and my little sister! Also I won’t lie…I can’t wait to see my siamese kitty Bebe either! He’s too cute! I also can’t wait to eat good food and sleep in my nice BIG bed…compared to my bed here!

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving and don’t forget to give thanks for everything you have!

*Psalm 100:4  “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” *

St. Louis

So I had all intentions of posting Monday evening….as you can see that didn’t happen! Last weekend I went to St. Louis with Campus Outreach for Fall retreat. It was so much fun! We stayed right by the Arch and hung out there all day Saturday. St. Louis is so pretty, and such a clean city! I had lot’s of fun at the retreat, some of the things that happened were on Friday night there was a costume party, some friends and I were the spice girls. I was Posh spice, it was so funny. Also there was a concert by Flame, he is a Christian rap artist. I’m not much of a rap fan, but I liked him! Then during the morning and evening different speakers from 3 different schools lead sessions. The theme was “Show me the Truth”, it was really good.

This week I had lots of quizes and things to study for. Since it’s Thursday now, I am done with all of that! It’s pretty nice to relax now! Also tomorrow night is my sororitys fall dance. The theme is Throwback, which means you dress as your favorite era. My boyfriend and I are going 80’s, I’m pretty excited! He is coming down for the weekend so that should be fun too. Last night we had our new member test for the new girls, and I’m so excited to say that they ALL passed! We have some awesome girls! In 3 weekends is initiation, but of course, I can’t tell you about that! I know they are getting excited!

That’s pretty much it for now, hope everyone has a good weekend!!

So this weekend was homecoming. Everything was so busy and hectic, but I loved every minuite of it! I am proud to say that Alpha Chi Omega placed second in the trike race!! I’m so proud of our trike team! Overall we placed 4th out of all the pairings….not bad! Saturday was so much fun. After two of my sorority sisters and I got the alum tent set up, we went and picked up all the food. Let me tell you…I have never seen so much subway in my life! After we got back to the tent and got the food out, alum started to arrive. It’s so fun to talk to alum and get to know them. After the tent we went back to the quads and took a nap!! Then we went out and had a really good time! It was a long day!

This week won’t be too busy. After I turn in a paper for my nursing class tomorrow and take a medical terminology quiz, I pretty much don’t have anything else I need to worry about. I do have a test on Thursday for anatomy, but I have been studying for it for a few days slowly, hopfully I will do well! Tonight I have study tables with my sorority, so I will get all of my homework done there. Another exciting note…Colts won! It was exciting to see them on Monday night football…I feel like it had been forever since I had watched a game…I guess it was only 14 days! I know that I promised pictures from homecoming, but it was sooo busy that I didn’t even have time to take any! Now that the week is slowing down, maybe I can find some time to take pictures of something fun so everyone can see!

Well that’s about it. Next weekend I am going to St. Louis for a retreat with campus outreach, I’m excited about it! So be looking for a post on that!

So this weekend I decided to take a long one! I went home on Thursday night and came back to ISU Sunday before chapter with my sorority. I got to spend time with my family and I just love being back in Brown County during the fall, it’s so pretty! I also got to go see Nick up in Angola, which was lots of fun too. When I got back Sunday we had the first part of initiating the new girls, they are so sweet. I just love all of our new girls! We have what is called an Alpha sis for that part, and I took one. Her name is Megan and she is just awesome!

As for school this week…it’s looking fairly managable! I am lucky that I only have one class on Tuesdays and Fridays. That gives me some time to get stuff done. Tomorrow I have a paper due and I also have two quizes. And then on Thursday I have a test. But today I only have one class so that will give me time to study for things. Last week I had dinner with some students in my class and with one of our nursing professors. She is awesome and I am so so so glad that I changed my major. Even though it’s like 30 times the amount of work I was doing…..it’s worth it. I love all of my professors and the students in my classes are all so helpful. Not only do I know everyone in my major’s classes, but alot of the professors as well. The environment is really nice and you feel like you have a whole team of people wanting to see you reach the top. Which is a pretty good feeling!!

This week is homecoming week….I love homecoming! I am in charge of getting the tent set up at homecoming for our alum, and I love it! Saturday is the big game and also is when all of the tents are set up for alum of differnet groups to come back and hang out and eat. There is also a parade before the game which we have a float in, it’s going to look great! Friday is the trike race….our trike team placed 1st last Friday and quals and I am so proud of them! They have been working so hard and are doing an amazing job! Tonight is Stomp. Our stomp team has been working really hard and our performance is going to be really good! I am in it, but I will have someone take some pictures so that I can post those! I will try to post some homecoming pictures so everyone can see how fun it is! That’s pretty much all for now. But after all of the homcoming festivities I will be posting all bout it!!
