How to use the Blog software
Posts are the entries that display in reverse chronological order on your home page. In contrast to pages, posts usually have
comments fields beneath them and are included in your site's RSS feed.
To write a post:
- Log in to your WordPress
Administration Panel (Dashboard).
- Click the
Posts tab.
- Click the
Add New Sub Tab
- Start filling in the blanks.
- As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. Each of these
sections is explained below.
- When you are ready, click Publish.

Media - Add pictures and movies to your posts
Media is the images, video, recordings, and files, you upload and use in
your blog. Media is typically uploaded and inserted into the content
when writing a Post or Page.
- Media Library - The
Media Library SubPanel allows you edit, delete or view Media previously uploaded to your blog.
Multiple Media objects can be selected for deletion. Search and filtering ability is also provided
to allow you to find the desired Media. .
- Upload New Media - The
Media Add New SubPanel allows you to upload new media to later use with posts and pages. A Flash
Uploader is provided and the ability to use a Browser Uploader is supplied if the Flash Uploader does not work.
- You can also pull photos from popular photo sites such as Flickr,
Picasa, etc..
Video
- To use the video in your posts, upload your video to your YouTube account, paste YouTube video URL with
httpv:// (notice the 'v').
Important: The URL should just be copied into your post normally and the letter 'v' added,
do not create a clickable link!
Example: httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozmuozJd_cY
